Hello, my name is Mr. Rooney.  I’m a Workplace Wellness Consultant and a regular contributor to www.YellowDuckPress.com newsletter www.YellowDuckPress.com/newsroom.htm .  I want to personally welcome you into our wellness family.

At YellowDuckPress, we strive to educate and implement wellness solutions not only for business but the individual.  I’m sure you can relate as you too are forging your own wellness path.

As an author myself, here are some quick tips to help you get started.

Tip #1 - Be clear and concise in your message.  Take the subject from a 50,000 foot view to the desk of the employee/reader.

Tip #2 - Eliminate frustration.  Sandra and her team are here to help you through the process. Call or email Sandra.  The door is always open.

Tip #3 - Be conversational.  There’s nothing like hitting home when we read a story that we can relate to in tone and subject.  Checkout Sandra’s blog www.sandralarkin.com/blog .

Tip #4 - Make change happen.  As the reader, I want to make this change.  Tell me how I can get there to be successful.

Tip #5 - Have fun.  This process should be pleasurable not a pain.  From what I’ve heard, there are alot of exciting extras coming our way.

Enjoy the journey.

Attention Authors (8/15/08)

August 14th, 2008

If you have not already done so, please fill out the contact information located on www.yellowduckpress.com/authors .  This information is located in the contributing author packet under “what to do next?”.

If you can fill out the contact information by Tuesday, August 19th, this will help us to determine who is contributing by September 30th and begin the author Podcast process.  You will be notified to setup a date for Podcasting based on your contact submission date.  This is a great way to showcase your expertise and talent as a wellness provider.  In addition, create some “buzz” around the book.

What is a Podcast?  A short phone interview where the questions are supplied ahead of time for preparations.  This will be placed on ITunes, etc… for others to download.

Why do we need to do this?  This is optional but highly recommended to showcase yourself.  Plus, you can begin having your colleagues, family and friends download your interview on their IPod’s.

Will this take alot of my time?  No, it can be compared to a short interview.

What’s the Buzz?

August 14th, 2008

#1 In one month’s time, www.yellowduckpress.com online interest grew by 370%.
